Truro, located on the outer cape, is comprised of two villages: Truro and North Truro. A majority of the land in the town is part of the Cape Cod National Seashore, which contains over 43,000 acres of protected land. With so much of its land protected, Truro attracts many summer visitors, but it is the year-round residents that enjoy the town's four seasons of beauty.
Whether on land or water, there is much to do in Truro from boating and hiking to deep sea fishing to visiting historical attractions, Truro allows residents to experience what the Cape is best known for - great beaches and easy water access. Students living in Truro attended the Truro Central School, which serves kindergarten through 6th grade. There is no middle or high school in Truro, but a tuition agreement with the Nauset Regional Schools enable Truro student to attend the Nauset middle and high schools.
